STRAWBERRY POUND CAKE
INGREDIENTS:
- The Select Aisle’s T55 All Purpose Baking Flour – 1 ½ cup(180g)
- Sugar – 1 cup (200g)
- Unsalted butter - ¼ cup (85g)
- The Select Aisle’s Vanilla Flavour - 2ml
- The Select Aisle’s Strawberry Flavour -2ml
- Egg – 1
- Milk - ½ cup (120ml)
- The Select Aisle’s Aluminium Free Baking Powder – 1 ½ tsp (6g)
- Salt - a pinch
- Freshly cut strawberries (optional)
PROCEDURE:
- Preheat the oven to 180 degree C.
- Grease a tin with oil and dust with flour. Set it aside.
- Mix together flour, baking powder and salt and set aside.
- Add the butter and sugar in a bowl and cream it together.
- Next, add in 1 egg, vanilla and strawberry flavour , whip it till fluffy.
- Now add in half of the flour and fold gently. Add in the milk , the remaining flour and fold gently. The batter will be thick.
- Spoon this batter in the baking pan and top with halved strawberries. Sprinkle sugar on top and bake for 50 to 60 mins.
- Allow the cake to cool in the tin.
- Now you can slice and serve the strawberry pound cake with love..!
