STRAWBERRY POUND CAKE The Select Aisle

INGREDIENTS:

  • The Select Aisle’s T55 All Purpose Baking Flour  – 1 ½ cup(180g)
  • Sugar – 1 cup (200g)
  • Unsalted butter - ¼ cup (85g)
  • The Select Aisle’s Vanilla Flavour - 2ml
  • The Select Aisle’s Strawberry Flavour -2ml
  • Egg – 1
  • Milk - ½ cup (120ml)
  • The Select Aisle’s Aluminium Free Baking Powder – 1 ½ tsp (6g)
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Freshly cut strawberries (optional)

PROCEDURE:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degree C. 
  2. Grease a tin with oil and dust with flour. Set it aside.
  3. Mix together flour, baking powder and salt and set aside.
  4. Add the butter and sugar in a bowl and cream it together.
  5. Next, add in 1 egg, vanilla and strawberry flavour , whip it till fluffy.
  6. Now add in half of the flour and fold gently. Add in the milk , the remaining flour and fold gently. The batter will be thick.
  7. Spoon this batter in the baking pan and top with halved strawberries. Sprinkle sugar on top and bake for 50 to 60 mins.  
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the tin.
  9. Now you can slice and serve the strawberry pound cake with love..!
